If there is a live animal in the snare call the relevant animal welfare charity. We do not advise trying to release an animal yourself as the animal could be injured and require medical attention. Record the incident using our Snarewatch report form.

Watch Bill Oddie in Snares Uncovered

Eight snares were found in the Scarrowmanwick area of Cumbria.

No animal was found in the snares but blood was seen on the ground nearby. A fox had been found in a snare the day before, this had been reported to the RSPCA but the fate of the animal was unknown.
